As we observe Workers Memorial Day, we somberly honor the lives of those who have been lost or severely injured in the workplace. We stand in solidarity with their families, friends, and communities whose lives have been forever altered by tragedy.
While we acknowledge the encouraging decrease in workforce fatalities, the reality remains stark: in 2022 alone, over 80 workers were lost in Colorado, and others, along with their families, endure the lifelong challenges occasioned by severe injuries.
At Pinnacol, Workers Memorial Day is a reminder of our mission and to confront the profound impact of workplace injuries. We extend our deepest sympathies to all who have suffered loss or hardship.
I hope this day also serves as a reminder of the unwavering importance of workplace safety. As we honor those we have lost and those whose lives have been transformed, let us strengthen our resolve to create safer, healthier workplaces for everyone.
